  7. First of all my hardware configuration configuration:

  9.     - ST520+ upgraded with
  10.     - 4Mb ST-Ram
  11.     - SST68030 with 4Mb-FastRam
  12.     - ST296 SCSI disk.

  14. First I compiled MiNT with MULTITOS defined. This version completely
  15. hangs after showing the wellcome message. I didn't specify any gem.sys
  16. in mint.cnf. Where do I get this? Is it the gem.prg, which was part of
  17. the earlier MiNT packages.

  19. After this I recompiled without MULTITOS defined and got a nicely
  20. working version. However I got problems with several versions of GDOS
  21. programs. If I disable a GDOS version, the machine boots up fine. When
  22. I enable the GDOS I get a MEMORY VIOLATION somewhere, when TOSWIN
  23. loads the configured executables (EMACS and TCSH). The desktop is
  24. displayed and I can move the mouse cursor, but that's all. I checked
  25. three GDOS programs:

  27.     amcgdos 3.21
  28.     amclight 4.0
  29.     gdos 1.1
  30.  
  31. With all of these I get the same result.

  33. Does anyone have similar experiences?
